SMAC is Civilization 2 at its core, just iterated on and improved in every way, then transplanted into a sci-fi setting. It still holds up as one of the better examples of the genre even 20 years later.

No, I don't think I've read that mini. If that's the Secret Wars from like a decade-ish ago, I kinda dipped out of comics for a while around then so I mostly missed out except for a few highlights.

NHS went through a lot of the same notes early one-page gag webcomics did about 15-20 years ago. Exploitation Now, Queen of Wands, etc., all went through the same stages that NHS pioneered - starting as

The way SWG got canceled really stunk for the people involved. Seems like the community at the end was pretty vibrant and while I never played, it sure never sat right with me.
