With these shots I learn that the presence of colorful background, or a nice background really enhanced the overall result of the shot. I took photos of this caterpillar in the wild, and then after getting the first result with no background, I decided to put a leaf behind the subject for a different result.

Anyway, this is the photo of a Black Looper Caterpillar or Hyposidra talata, a caterpillar that is native to Indonesia, India, but also found in Australia.

It has a black color body, with several white bands running across its body, and is considered a major pest in the tea plantation.

Here you can see a different result after I put the leaf in the background. The caterpillar is also looks better in this version. So maybe I should try to add some background for my next photoshoot.
