RE: I went ahead and signed up for X Premium. I also tried out Grok.

Yep. It can be given LAWS at it's core or a better idea is PARADIGMS that it must adhere to and those contain the bias of the people that program it, or train it.

It turns out what you would like to see AI for is a lot harder because it requires machines, moving parts, and maintenance. I think it is the direction most of us saw it going. It turns out it is going

RE: Lights in the sky dragging the weather with them - Central Missouri, USA - November, 8th 2023 approximately 7pm CST

Yeah I have been aware of HAARP for a long time. This didn't seem to be that unless it's usage somehow manifests lights.

RE: I'm going to try my hand at some hate speech...

Well I think we need to drop the "hate speech" label. Get back to calling things WRONG, INCORRECT, etc. but be able to back up WHY those things are WRONG, or INCORRECT. Don't just say it and

RE: Don't say the name, don't memorialize, we don't want copy cats...

Well really I kind of derailed my initial reason for writing the post. It happens. I was more thinking about the "Don't give the bad guy press, don't say their name" thing in order to stop copy

RE: I'm going to try my hand at some hate speech...

I am biased. I view creation and making things as a good thing. I tend to think destruction is easy and not something I admire. I also don't need anyone to protect me from history. I am quite capable of

RE: I'm going to try my hand at some hate speech...

Yep. The list of things I say I hate are very short. I consider them carefully. Are their exceptions to this thing? If there are then I will not say it. For me hate is much stronger than dislike. I don't

If there were a statue of Hitler that had a caption "A great and powerful man" below it that might be a bit disturbing. If it had a caption below it that said something like "Hitler: This

Most people seem to be happy with authoritarianism when they perceive it as "their side" that has the authority. Live by the sword, die by the sword... Slippery slope... etc.

RE: Are things getting better? More people are becoming aware but is it getting better?

That is a lot to think about. I started to read it. I had to take someone somewhere. When I got back I started over and took the time needed. I can't dispute what you say there as being possible. What

The election system has been corrupted for a long time. It is just far more so than it has been before. Why not, they get away with it... That doesn't mean the concept of elections is a bad one. If we

I am not a fan of prison except for crimes that a short time is compensation and deterant. For PROVEN extreme crimes I don't see making society pay for that person for the rest of their life, allowing

RE: Is it a Democracy? Nope. Is it a Democratic Republic? Nope. Is it a Republic? Technically... maybe.

Yep. I follow a lot of other people. Those are just the big names. I am familiar with a lot of Sky People in parts of the country, Ant people in others, Grand Canyon area oral stories, giant red haired

Yep. I am aware. I am a big fan of the works of many people. Among those I include Graham Hancock, and Randall Carlson.

Sure. This is how everything works. I don't believe in Cultural Appropriation as a thing since Culture is just ideas. Cultural Appreciation is very much a thing though. It is how good ideas, and yes bad

RE: So you want to improve education? Step One: Make people want to be educated.

Yes. There should be no purchasing a degree as far as I am concerned. Those people depending upon the degree get hired at a higher wage and often can't actually do the job.

RE: If you controlled the history curriculum what would you teach?

I think it is safe if we do our best to not become dogmatic about ANYTHING. Everything should be open to be challenged. That doesn't mean changing a view should be easy, yet someone should not be attacked
