Fishermen are the occupation of the majority of coastal communities in my city. This work has become part of the local wisdom of coastal communities here and has even been passed down from generation to generation.
Apart from fishermen who spend days or a week at sea, there are also traditional fishermen here. They don't go to sea for days at a time, these traditional fishermen only lower their seine nets on the shore, they catch fish on the shore.
Usually in a day they can anchor the trawl 5 times, or even more. They lowered the trawl into the sea, then towed it to land. We call it land trawling. I took several photos of traditional fishing activities and made them into entries for this monomad challenge.
