Utility Program:
Is a program used to Increase the capabilities of computer programs that already exist on the computer
Utility software is computer software designed to assist the analysis, configuration, optimization, and management of a computer or system. The utility software should be differentiated from the application software that allows users to do things with computers such as typing, playing games, designing pictures, and more. The utility software focuses more on optimizing the functionality of the infrastructure contained in a computer. Because of its functionality, utility software is generally not intended for users in general, but rather intended for users who have an understanding of how the computer system works quite well.

Most hardware utilities are specially designed to perform specific functions in a specific computing area, such as formatting a hard drive, or checking for network connectivity. But in its development a number of utility software are sometimes also bundled in a utility package devoted to a variety of needs!!!
