We found out at the wedding that the groom’s parents also got married on New Year’s Eve! 36 years prior. Funny thing to have a shared anniversary with your parents and in-laws.

It is a terrible disease. My mom’s last few years were very difficult. But unlike many people with pancreatic cancer I had 4.5 years with mom post her diagnosis. Most people only get a few months.

The black was fondant over a vanilla buttercream. So… it just tasted like fondant. They also had a red velvet cake. I had a bit of both. Probably liked the cake with the black fondant best.
