Nice! Which part of the river did you usually go to? Lake Mojave or Havasu? This section of the river is called "Black Canyon". It's the just below the Hoover dam.

Here's my entry! Colorado River - Packrafting from Goldstrike to Ringbolt

The water was really clear. I think it just looks dark in the pictures because of the dark colored rocks in the bottom.

Domeland is a really neat place. And almost nobody knows about it. Having the more popular parks, Sequoia Kings Canyon and Yosemite, just to the north of it means that it usually gets overlooked.

Ya, the fires were really devastating this year. So many beautiful places got burned. A lot of the areas won't recover for many years. If ever. I feel really lucky to have seen a lot of these places before
