TOKYO: The world’s last videocassette recorder (VCR) is set to roll off the factory line as a Japanese manufacturer ends production of the once booming home theatre technology. Funai Electric, which says it is the world’s last VCR manufacturer, pointed to a sharp decline in demand and trouble sourcing parts for its decision to stop production at a plant in China by the end of this month.
The good old days when we need to rewind the tapes before returning it to Blockbuster. When we will put the tapes in a dry place to prevent mold. When we spend hours in the video store looking for movies. Especially in the offer section where you can rent 3 for the price of 1.
