RE: Leaving Things Behind...
That's pretty much where we ended up... the kid mostly don't care about stuff because their generation "collects" experiences, not objects. So there's a lot of craigslist, eBay and Facebook

RE: You Only Have What You Have!
I hear you! We haven't had "spare change" since before the kids went to college, and that was almost 20 years ago... and even then building any sort of balance was a challenge, and only effective

RE: Moments of Quiet Reflection
I just find it all very overwhelming, perhaps because we have created a world in which we are expected to be connected at all times... the "system" does not allow for escapes; we're always "on

RE: Analysis of a Scam
The ones we're getting around here are "alert" texts from the fraud department of our banks, with the genuine number spoofed as the sender. Looks JUST like the real thing. Then some verbiage

RE: Life With Pain... a Reflection
It makes no sense whatsoever, and I have never been able to figure out why the US approach is so often purveyed under the heading of "freedom." My "beef" isn't with open market vs.

RE: Life With Pain... a Reflection
I have grown quite weary of people needing to make a trip to the emergency room because they have a hangnail... and once they get there, they insist that the waiting room must me a "safe space"

He did rermarkably well. I'd be lying if I didn't add that he was quite grumpy and abrasive when things were bad, but who can really blame him?

Happy New Year! I'm right there with these past years — not just 2025 — being a protracted suckfest. I'm thinking 2018 is the last one I'd call "pretty decent." The only saving grace was the

Well, I hope your strategy works out for you; I hope Hive ends up working out for all of us, in 2026 and beyond. Happy New Year!

I do enjoy the discussions and points you bring up... and I guess the fact that so many of your posts end up with hundreds of comments speaks to the fact that people do want to talk about these issues.

Wow, that is such a sad loss... I always loved "Josephine," as such a low key and soulful break in the 1980s New Wave sound. Of course, can't think about Chris without a mention of "On the
