RE: Reflection: On Making Difficult Decisions
Part of our decision is precisely based on the fact that it's only going to get worse. We hate moving, and we put a lot of love and sweat equity into this property... and even though we thought we'd planned

No worries; difficult at first, but change is also something we can look forward to.

RE: The Uncomfortably High Cost of Existence
Some of the rates are insane, when you count all the extra fees they tag on. I don't have that kind of card, and the few cards I do have I only use because they are sometimes required when you travel and

RE: Hey Hive, I am Back After A Much Needed Social Break
Sometimes a technology break is the best thing we can do for our mental (and otherwise) world. It's very easy to get sucked in... thankfully, my wife and I do fairs with our respective artwork, and she

RE: Little Sparrowhawk
They are very beautiful little birds... and hard to photograph, with their quick flight and restless nature; well done. We get their "cousins" here in the States, and they are usually just a

Thanks for stopping by @katharsisdrill, always nice to "see" you! I remember ending up here because I got so fed up and tired with the external world's (specifically Facebook) outright mean and

RE: Hive Building: A Matter of Numbers
In the broadest sense, the only time I can think of where something Hive-related brought actual content consumers (from external sources) was with the public launch of Splinterlands. People bought into

Life is too short, indeed. Sometimes it gets a little wearing to feel like you're eternally trying to swim upstream... going with the flow becomes tempting. It requires conscious choice not to...

Indeed, it has always been there... and it still is. In some way — at least these days — I try to find a small measure of gratitude that there was an actual set of eyeballs on the post, not just a bot

If we do end up having an "Alt coin rally" and Hive somehow finds it way back up to about $1.00 (simply "by association")... no doubt there'll be a fresh influx of people seeking their

Most of them are basically cash grabs. Which is not entirely different from the early days of the Internet where there were lots of idiots ready to throw money at anyone who said "I have a web site!"

I'm not going to give up on it, either. Perhaps the best we can do is simply to continue using the venue in the way we feel makes the most sense. I've made no secret of the reason I found my way here being

I still think the biggest "problem" crypto faces - and I don't specifically mean Hive, in this context - is creating itself a new image that's not so mired down in a pervasive "get rich

@slobberchops, I'm probably going to end up writing too much here, but who knows? In some sense, Hive creates its own dilemmas in this arena. If the community — in a broad general sense — is going around

RE: Reflections on the Meaning of "Freedom"
Being raised with the Right to Roam almost part of my DNA, I continue to be baffled by the US obsession with "ownership" of everything. I mean, these forestry companies around here own tracts
