RE: There's Always Something: Expensive Expat Passports!
Normally, I prefer to just take things one step at a time as they come along, but because of the massive expense associated with travel these days, this has been in the planning for a couple of years.

Sometimes it just feels like being "nickel0and-dimed" to death, except in fairly large amounts. Thankfully, Denmark is part of the Schengen zone, so at least that's not a worry. And the place

I hope we manage to pull it off, even though it is heinously expensive and our income is increasingly limited. Time will tell.

Papers, please, indeed! Ironically, I've lived that extreme... when I was 12, we lived in Spain during the Franco dictatorship. The Guardia Civil (national military police) could pretty much "disappear

Happy Anniversary to you! Not that many of us from "back then" who are still around. It seems like a long time, but it is also just the blink of an eye. Hopefully we can continue to do our small

And it's a good thing we have a family place where we can stay for free, once we get to Denmark! Otherwise this wouldn't be on, at all.

I guess that's what governments here do. Control people. At least most of the Scandinavian governments have some semblance of interest in the well-being of their citizens.

The "OnLeo" idea is a great base for building, but I think it's important to be vigilant of how these "ons" work from a user content discovery perspective. The user experience has to

RE: On the cost of speeding tickets in the U.K...?!?
That all sounds rather complicated, not to mention ambiguous! I don't think we have anything that complex here in the States; they care more about where you were speeding, like road work zones, near schools

RE: Searching For a Seat or Two
Everything does seem to become very spendy once you eliminate the "made in China" stuff. We do have a couple of nice furniture stores in town, but you can virtually buy a new car for the price

RE: Don't Make Yuan Sad
Oh no! Poor sad Yuan! And also a sad reflection on the fact that genuine engagement on Hive is not what it used to be. Maybe 2024 can be the year when we remedy that...

RE: Impressive Leo Ads Payout
I'm increasingly intrigued by INLEO... they are definitely working their butts off to add new features and just do things, which puts them head and shoulders above pretty much all other Hive-based communities.
