RE: When Things Get Tough... Return to the Old Ways
So many creative possibilities! I see a LOT of different creative expressions with seaglass at some of our local street fairs.

RE: When Things Get Tough... Return to the Old Ways
I totally get the whole "eggs-basket" wisdom... we probably have near a dozen different projects going at any one time... Hive activities represent merely one small corner of the whole picture,

RE: When Things Get Tough... Return to the Old Ways
I'm definitely here for the very long term... in a sense, I am hoping this will all keep building until some manner of "retirement" happens for me. Even so, the wild ups and downs can be a little

I wish there were less plastic, too. When I went beach combing, I always brought along a garbage bag to pick up the alarming amount of plastic items that would wash on shore... a lot of people are — sadly

RE: When Things Get Tough... Return to the Old Ways
I knew about it from childhood, but not that there were people actually willing to purchase such things... and yet, it afforded me a livelihood of sorts for 5-6 years.

I would never have known @jlufer, except for one time being at a street arts and crafts fair many years ago, and having a conversation with a jeweler who worked with such items. I asked where where she

Indeed, it is never too late to have a happy childhood. Including real Monkey Bread that exists for the right reasons. Yum!

RE: The Bounce Back Dilemma
I was actually pondering the whole "recovering from the 'vid" issue earlier, and the fact that it somehow feels like I never made it back to more than 95% or 98% of where I was before. Maybe

RE: Spotlight On HBD: There is Hidden RISK Involved in “Chasing Big Numbers!”
Wow... thanks for that exceptional reply @geekgirl! Sorry for the late response, but I wanted to give this the attention it deserved. No, I didn't think the 20% interest rate was necessarily sudden, as

RE: Spotlight On HBD: There is Hidden RISK Involved in “Chasing Big Numbers!”
As long as it remains an organic process and people (including witnesses) continue to regard it as a long term proposition, I'm a little less worried about it. So HBD is really likely to be more of a hybrid

Indeed, they are definitely very different. But they remain interdependent in the sense that if it is more attractive to hold HBD than Hive (in people's MINDS, regardless of the market movements) people

I am on 50/50 post rewards, as well. I am also slowly building a savings balance in HBD. And I reckon I'll keep doing that for as long as I feel inclined/have time to actively post. The thing that concerns

I'm by no means opposed to the idea, as long as there isn't some change to the code that suddenly releases many millions of HBD into the system.

I'm glad I got to meet your dad; he was a pretty awesome guy! And yeah, you can do what you want to. Because we're adults now.

RE: Life's Annoyances: When Paywalls Are Used as Ransomware!
In my 5+ years here I have used maybe a dozen images (in 1800+ posts) that weren't my own. So at least I always have my own back-up versions stored locally, if push comes to shove. But as @edb pointed

RE: Life's Annoyances: When Paywalls Are Used as Ransomware!
It's the somewhat sneaky and manipulative way they do it that annoys me the most. I forget the name now, but one of the other big "free image hosting" sites did the same thing, a few years back.
