I always hated the Yankees when I was growing up for the same reasons people hate the Dodgers today. I grew up a Cubs fan, so I keenly felt the unfairness of letting big market teams buy their victory.

Yet, now I find myself a huge fan of the Dodgers. I admit, I'm biased. I followed Ohtani ever since his high school days. When he went over to the States and joined the Angels, I became an Angels fan. I was against him moving to the Dodgers because I never liked them, but once he made the move, I did too! And the Dodgers just keep collecting these great players who I watch in Japan, like Yamamoto and Sasaki. So... basically I love the Dodgers for the same reason all of Japan does, because they have all the best Japanese players.

I still wouldn't mind a salary cap. But until then, the Dodgers are a hell of a lot of fun to watch. And as bozz pointed out, money isn't everything: they were almost beat in the World Series by a much smaller team.
