RE: You Can't Call It Meat - Or Can You?
I think every issue has it's radicals on both sides who find some reason to constantly get angry at and attack the other side. There are those meat lovers who seem to get offended by the very existence

RE: Bread Egg, Simple But It Is Not...
I used to have a similar bread egg everyday. It was very tasty! Japanese mayo, egg, fried. Yum. I forget what I used to pay for that... it probably wasn't much over ¥100 at the time. But this was 20 years

Wish I had more HBD to pull out. I converted most of mine at 15 cents. I should have waited!!

RE: Would You Rather?
Going back seems obvious, until you really think about it. Every little change you make would change who you ended up becoming and change the path you took, so almost nothing you remember about the last

RE: The Shopping Cart Personality Test
Positioning it in the walkway is a good compromise, I suppose. Much better than people who just leave them free floating in the middle of the lot.

Ah so you make him do it! Nice 😜 I hadn't thought of that clear the table thing, since clearing the table is just the default here and it's somewhat unthinkable otherwise. But yeah, I remember in the

RE: The Shopping Cart Personality Test
haha I did say context matters. In your situation, I might do the same. Clearing the table after eating... now that's another good test! Here in Japan that's the default. But yeah, I remember in the States

RE: The Shopping Cart Personality Test
That sounds pretty sweet. We don't have that in Japan yet. I'd be afraid though of the clerk picking all the bruised fruit and boxes/cans with dents on them. Hmm... I have teenage trust issues, maybe.

RE: The Shopping Cart Personality Test
I think a few places in the US do have that pay for a cart/get it back thing, but since the largest common US coin is only .25, it's not really much of an incentive. haha well, we can thank your OCD for

RE: Justified Outrage?
I didn’t realize cyberattacks against schools had increased so much. That’s crazy. Good luck dealing with that! It’s a familiar pattern, though, isn't it? Safeguards often look unnecessary, until they’re

RE: The Struggle to Come Home
I never served, so I don't know personally, but I can imagine how hard it is. I've seen how hard it is for most vets. I always remember my grandfather who was a medic in WW2 and how he hated the sound

I wish you the best on your drinking problem. Yes, that is the thing with alcoholics or borderline alcoholics — people like them when they are drunk and so often encourage the drinking. I have never struggled

RE: Daydreaming
Daydreaming by itself isn't too bad. It's just your brain stretching. You commented about this on my Zen post, so from a Zen perspective we'd say the daydreaming is your monkey mind. Everyone has the same.

RE: Winter Sports I Never Had
I'm one of those people under a rock. I didn't realize the Olympics were being held now until a student commented about it yesterday. In my defense, I never watch TV. If it's on, my kids are watching Youtube
