There are a lot of challenges currently happening in my life. I'm trying my very best to stay positive and make every moment of it count. I'm obligated to pay a short visit to my parents to arrange some family matter so I can relief my siblings. Despite the heavy traffic, we still made it.
These are the Chinese clan association. This road has a landmark called paragon. Back in my school day, these associations will be my hideout because they have arcade machines, and the members will protect us from the cops since I feed the machines all day π€£
Have you watch Ip Man 2 before? These kind of association is similar to those where they teach martial arts(collect protection fee), playing Mahjong(extra curriculum to spend money), but now has been "upgraded". The one above has a restaurant selling BBQ satey. This one, the restaurant name called "Kafe classic sister" sponsored by Carlsberg π sketchy eh. Prologue for the orientation, #parama couldn't upload vertical photos, even if I did, it will automatically turn it sideway.
Set those aside, today highlight is a cafe me and the home minister decided to visit, here in Jalan Theatre. Jalan is a Malay word for "Street". This road lead directly to the city center of Ipoh where the well known cinema halls are located around the region. Speaking of which, why do we call it cinema now? Instead of theatre? hmmm...
My mom used to own a floral shop in the same street. Other than running away from school, walking towards my mom's flower shop needs to walk pass these streets. Therefore, it does bring back decades of memory.
New age coffee shop is nothing like the old school traditional coffee shop. The fact that they have a tree right at the middle of the shop, is a norm for old shop houses because there's a patio at the middle. House is long, the patio will give enough sunlight at the middle of the house.
Pardon this photo, I don't mean to waste anymore photo on the cafe layout, but I'm trying to show you once again, the face quality of Ipoh town is quite high π€£ The girls next to ours spent half an hour shooting Instagram worthy photos, and I need to show this to you guys how entertain I was observing what are they doing.
Drinks are ok. It's a latte, what else can I expect. I am here merely for the experience, to find some memory some 30 years ago. The price is not entirely friendly as well, almost hitting the Starbucks price tag.
