This is one of the most photographed views in Banff National Park. You might say it is Banff’s signature view! It probably is my favourite view as well. Usually every time we visit the area, I make a point of stopping here to snap away. Never get tired of this place. I do have a lot of photos in my library dedicated to this very spot. Some years back we rented a canoe to paddle around, allowing one to get some great mountain shots from a mid lake vantage point. Perhaps this coming summer we will do it again. This is Vermillion Lake, and Rundle Mountain in the background. Sulphur mountain can be seen in the second photo.
