The changes are here to make sure that the project continues. By reducing the workload and streamlining things, I believe that the project has a nice future and I won't have to worry about sustainability

That's true and it gives often a false token distribution, since there can be more than 100% of tokens in circulation if null is not excluded.

Burning isn't always the answer but with our configuration every burnt token actually increases the value of all the remaining ones.

The diesel pool could be a solution but I believe it would be much more difficult to actually track the token value and we would probably have to power down all the same if there is a lot of sell pressure.

It show that supply is under control and real value is backing the token I believe.

It's a small mechansime but over time it impacts the APR in a positive way.
