Hello steemit!

Before you start reading you may read this post

Welcome to the first trip report of a whole series!
It starts with: Psilocybin mushrooms

My first experiences with psilocybin mushrooms

What are these mushrooms?

Let me quote wikipedia:

Psilocybin mushrooms, also known as psychedelic mushrooms, are mushrooms that contain the psychedelic compounds psilocybin and psilocin. Common colloquial terms include magic mushrooms and shrooms. It is used mainly as an entheogen and recreational drug whose effects can include euphoria, altered thinking processes, closed and open-eye visuals, synesthesia, an altered sense of time and spiritual experiences.

Sounds great, doesn't it? Exactly! Worth a try!

After having taken MDMA (ecstasy) for the first time at a festival in Berlin, I got more and more excited to become a 'psychonaut' from time to time. That way I decided to grow some 'magic mushrooms' in a growbox that I ordered in the dark net this time. Funny thing is the vendor got busted later (I was really sweating that time). It took 16 days to grow the mushrooms - after that - harvesting time! I dried my mushrooms on the heating for half a day. The final outcome was around 40g (1.4 oz).

The point I took the decision to actually try them was quite spontaneous. I had a work-free day and nothing to do. Basically I did nothing special the whole day. My girlfriend had to work though. I decided to pick her up when she finished (she worked as an ambulance women that time before starting her studies in medicine) and when we drove to my place somehow I knew that this evening I want to try these mushrooms. I was in a very nice and chilled mood. At my place, I decided to eat some shrooms. My girlfriend agreed.

Let the trip begin!

I was both excited and calm at the same time. I had done psychonautic experiments before and was well-informed about what I was going to eat. My advice is: Inform yourself by reading a lot. Find as much information about the drug as possible. Estimate how risky the drug is. If it matches your personality. If it is worth it for you. I did that and decided I want to try my shrooms. Not caring too much I took my first bit. I wonder how to describe the taste. Not very delicious. Rather a strange taste and different structure from non-psychedelic mushrooms. As far as I remember I ate about a fifth of all shrooms or a bit less. You may know from alcohol, hash cookies or any drugs taken orally that it takes some time till some effect kicks in. I felt somehow the way you feel after one beer. A little bit more humorous than normal and pretty relaxed. Possibly just a placebo effect after a few minutes.

I was waiting for the shrooms to kick in. I checked my eyes and my brain for effects every minute (by the way this is not how drugs should be consumed - the best thing is to let your thoughts and feelings flow). Anyway. Nothing happened for the first 35 minutes.

Now I realized something was happening. On the physical side of my body I'd describe it as the collywobbles. I also recognized that my wallpaper looked differently. It was some mix of pleasant anticipation for a trip to come and a 'please-do-not-let-me-vomit' feeling. On the psychical side this feeling is hard to describe. Something I have not known before. I could not even say if it was good or bad. Simply strange. Maybe a little bit like slowly drifting away to give you an idea. It's always good to have somebody around you who cares for you when you enter new dimensions of emotions (that person is also called trip setter). You may get nervous if you have a bad day. Luckily my girlfriend attended me.

A few minutes later the visual effects began to intensify. I knew this would be nice and the last part of my anxiety slowly faded away. I was looking at the wallpaper. Normally white, I now saw colorful moving patterns and some kind of haze. They have its own beauty.

Now - just two minutes later the real effect started to kick in. The spatial dimensions of the room we sat in changed. One moment it felt really big. Like I was alone in the middle of a gym. I felt some kind of emptiness. The other moment the room felt super small. I felt like being in an elevator with 20 other people. Some crazy rollercoaster ride of emotions. The ceiling moved towards the floor in periodic way. Additionally everything felt like I was going back in time (some kind of retro flash). The furniture looked liked from a bad film of the 60's. Then I felt to merge with the room. To be everywhere at the same time. A real overload of sensations. And all over these colorful moving patterns.

Around 15 minutes later, my girlfriend decided that we will hear some music. I was convinced she must be even higher than me despite not having taken anything. Whereas my feelings and emotions were overwhelming I heart her words clearly . My thoughts were clear. I had hundreds of them at the same time. But I was unable to speak. It did not bother me though. I was in my own world with thousands of ideas and the feeling of enormous creativity. All that felt like at least one hour. Actually my girlfriend told me later it was just some minutes.

So. My girlfriend turned the music on (some minimal techno stuff). I was still sitting in my chair. Somehow I got the feeling to be in something like a very dynamic jungle now. I could feel the lianes in my face and all around. My girlfriend grabbed my hand. At this point I recognized the patterns that were all around in a haze began to become grey. Not colorful anymore. Just a visual effect. I felt like I was in a sphere with total absence of stability. Still unable to speak or even think out a single thought before catching the next one. My thoughts felt super clear though. Hard to explain.
What followed was simply amazing. I am talking about the effect of synesthesia. Now, my world was colorful again. I felt the colours. I tasted the sound. I was merging with the music. The music and I were one entity. I heart lots of new facets in that music (although it was just minimal techno). That world was plainly different from the one you and I know. Esthesia were united. The feeling was really deep. One can not simply explain what this feeling is about. How would you explain colour to a blind person? It felt a little bit like on my first MDMA trip at a festival. Euphoric. Satisfied. Happy and in love with everything. I felt like kissing my girlfriend. That kiss was the most emotional kiss I ever had. The feeling spread from my lips all over my body. Like an orgasm but way lighter. The good thing is I could 'taste' love.

It was 150 minutes from my first bite. It felt like at least 6 hours. Somehow I felt more and more sober again. Lots of thoughts in my head at this time. What is reality? How will the experience I made influence me? What is time? Who am I?

I was exhausted from that trip. My girlfriend and I talked a lot in the end. Everything I said must have been confusing though. I remember we went to our bed and I slept in her arms. That gave me a very comfortable feeling. The next morning, everything was normal again. I was hungry. My girlfriend was still sleeping. I decided to surprise her with breakfast in bed to thank her for being my trip setter.

I Hope you liked my first drug trip report. I will continue writing these trip reports for other drugs like MDMA, LSD, cocaine, cannabis and other stuff if people are interested and upvote.

Dislclaimer:

Please always remember: Use drugs carefully and not too often. I think it's best to just try them out once. Control yourself. Do not get addicted. Make arrangements to not get addicted (e.g. just buy the amount you need for one trip and not more). Inform yourself. Evaluate yourself. Be honest to yourself. If you know you tend to be addicted to things easily do not try things like cocaine. Have someone who cares and observes you when taking psychedelic substances. Be rational. If you have any problems with drugs, get professional help immediately. Pay attention to a healthy lifestyle in general and don't let drug experiments become a big part of your life!!!

Thank you for reading.
