Ever wish things were a little more boring? Me neither. We've got a war in the works, freedumb convoys and police being their usual bloody bully selves. Allah only knows what Xi and the CCP is up to but I wouldn't be investing in any Taipei real estate anytime soon.

Historically pandemics have been times of major turmoil and disorder, looks like we're staying on track. Pandemics helped bring down the Roman empires, should be a fun to see if history repeats itself.

The title of this post comes from a quote by the Maomeister himself. Mao Zedong was talking about the Cultural Revolution but it could just as easily apply to present times. If the analogy holds, things are going to get much worse before they get better.

As the old ways of doing things disintegrate around us, we are presented with an opportunity of sorts. When things aren't completely unbearable it tends to be a bit difficult to convince people to make changes. As status quo ante covid recedes in the rearview we can already see some changes starting to manifest. Want to bet the Great Resignation is just the tip of the iceberg?
