There's trouble in the air And Evander wishes he didn't care Tomorrow should be quite a show And Evander will be the first to know So stay safe and beware!

We've got some rather nasty stuff falling from the sky (snow, sleet, who knows what all else) right now so I am staying inside where it is nice and warm and scrolling through stuff from my recent outing

I had been trying to write a Saturday post but my attention and efforts kept going in about seventeen different directions and nothing quite got as done as I would like. I just realized that it's no longer

A while back I came across the title of this post, attributed to the Chinese as an old curse. Upon further research I discovered that it is most likely a western invention that was just credited to the

I'm having a nice, lazy Sunday and wasn't quite sure what to do a post on when I remembered I had these black and white photos of Jackson Lake in Grand Tetons National Park in Wyoming. I posted the color

Aside from their religious views and practices, the Shakers were well known for their innovation, craftmanship and workmanship. My first exposure to Shakers and Shaker Village was when we stayed at Pleasant

It's 1:30 in the morning here and I've been sitting here listening to music and editing photos and trying to write a post but I haven't been making much progress on the writing front. A cat just crawled

Watching the goings on yesterday at the Capitol in DC was something else. With all that happened in 2020, I've come to be a bit familiar with riot cops and the techniques and tactics they use, I was watching

I'm still working my way through all the photos I took this past weekend but I thought I would throw a few up to tide y'all over until I can put something a bit more substantial together. This goat was

How's 2021 treating everyone so far? We made it to Shaker Village a couple hours ago and had just enough time to drop our stuff in our room and go out and take a few photos with the last hour or so of

The overwhelming majority of what I post on here is photos taken with one of my DSLRs, either my old D5000 or the D610 I use now (Nikons). I'm something of a Neo-Luddite and refused to get a smartphone

I hadn't intended to write a Caturday post today but then this feller provided the opportunity to take this and I couldn't pass it up. This here is Evander and he is quite fond of his naps, especially

@melinda010100 tagged me in her 'A Letter To Me In 2019' post so I figured I'd play along and write one too. I've written letters to my future self before but never one to my past self so this should be

Merry Christmas y'all, hope you're having a good one! It's colder than hell (17F) but we somehow managed to dodge the snow here in Louisville. Thought I would post a few photos of some warmer weather to

It's Christmas Eve hereabouts but aside from the temperature it sure don't feel like it. There's not to be much in the way of traveling and visiting tomorrow due to covid, just a drive by visit to my mom's

My work schedule has been interfering with my posting schedule recently, I'm not especially pleased with this but c'est la vie. I just picked up a part time gig delivering food and doing that is what gave

I don't know if it is just on my end or hive.blog or what but lately my followers and rep have been jumping around a bit. Whether I actually have 500 followers or not, I'm using that as the excuse for
