I am now working part time at Mrs Gerry's. This is a good place to work and one I had to get through a temp agency named Manpower.
I guess I will only be working through to September 15th. The reason is because they are only a salad and side company.
First, when I get in, I lock my stuff up in the locker. Then wash my hands and grab a white "coat" along with a hairnet, and beard net. I then punch in and head out to the veggie line where I slice all kinds of veggies. From green bell peppers to tomatoes. Today we sliced about 5 crates of cucumbers, tomatoes, different colored bell peppers, while a few other guys machined cabbage.
The first time I left the veggie line was around 10 am. I went to the "south mash" room. That is where they deal with mashed potatoes. I placed boxes on pallets and then trucked off large portions of bad mash to the garbage. It was a full day, and one that I was happy to get.
Last week was slow, and we were getting only about 5 hours per day. Today was 9. They are paying $13.25 per hour because of the odd hours.
That is my "update" for the day. I hope that you all decide to upvote, and comment. I need more ideas for the off grid homestead we are trying to build.
Thanks again for reading this post, and I hope that you all have a great day!
