Coffee for Mommy and Venue Scouting

This morning I had some very boring personal admin and errands to run, so I decided to treat myself to a very rare breakfast for one!

I've posted about reload before, but their décor is still as vibrant and beautiful as ever, with their inside section creating a feeling of warmth and their outside section capturing having fun on a warm day.

This morning was raining, so I opted for a small table inside.

I ordered a single shot dirty chai latte, and was very specific about that, in a big cup, with some extra milk on the side! Just incase, you know? Also, sometimes you just end up with a mug of foam so the extra milk is there to compensate. I was not disappointed though and the coffee was lovely!

I made the mistake of not specifying this single espresso story to my waitress when I went for a long overdue coffee and breakfast date at Bootlegger's - for my birthday, with @lex-zaiya. I think I ended up with a triple espresso that had be buzzing all day! The food and service was otherwise spectacular, but we got so busy talking, I didn't get time to take any photos of us or our surroundings. Except this one!

@lex-zaiya demonstrating just one way that furbabies are less expensive than actual babies :p There is always a cake sale or pizza day, so between all three kids, I never have cash! How cute is this little purse though?

Reload has apparently changed ownership since my last post, but I am happy to report that the food and atmosphere have remained unchanged. I ordered the breakfast bun, which is a special for early birds only, and was delighted.

However, their lineup for their music evening (Saturday Night), which used to be taken up by one artist only, has changed and I'm delighted to see some familiar names like Robin Auld and Mark Haze!

I will be making contact showcasing MobeyDick and (hopefully) securing us a spot on their lineup! It is literally a hop, skip and a jump away from our house and such a lovely venue. We've been trying to get a foot in the door there for a while now. Perhaps we'll have more luck with the new owners, who apparently have impeccable music taste!
