Pleasing God Has Couples
The Bible doctrines taught by Bro Eli Soriano emphasizes on how christian couples should relate and conduct themselves so that their prayers would be answered. The Bible is a manual for us christians to follow so that we can live a life that glorifies God. One of the things that Bro Eli Soriano said is that in every household there are rules that guide the behaviors of members of such households. The church of God is the household of God as such there are rules that guide the conduct of members of the church.
LIVING IN UNDERSTANDING
1 Peter 3:1-7 (KJV) Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.
Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
Wives should be in subjection unto their husbands. They should emulate holy women like Sarah. When adorning themselves, emphasis should not be only on the outward appearance. They should adorn themselves with modesty and humility. The women should have the fear of God. Their lives should be such that they can win others to Christ.
Women are to put on the ornaments of meekness and that of a quiet spirit. They should love and respect their husbands.
The husbands should give honour to their wives as unto the weaker vessels. Men should not maltreat their wives. They should dwell with them in understanding. They should love their wives as Christ loved the church.
In the christian home, there should be unity and love. The christian couples must learn to be in agreement. There should be oneness and singleness of mind so that their prayers would be answered by God.
