I love the trains across Europe my favourite being the trains in the Netherlands, They are very regular and on board very spacious and a strong air conditioning system. I am not sure how cheap they are as I brought a 3-day unlimited travel ticket including metro, trains and trams for around 70 euro, and it covered Amsterdam and the neighbouring regions North and South.
