[Steemfest] Slides for the blockchain introduction and Steem's API now available

During Steemfest, @xeroc, CEO of chainsquad, gave two presentations to introduce the technology behind Steem to a wider audience. In this post, we want to share the slides with those that couldn't make it to steemfest.

Blockchain 101

This presentation is a low technology, easy to understand introduction to blockchain technologies and makes use of simple examples and analogies.
For the author, blockchain technologies constitute four parts:

• a blockchain (as a database),
• a protocol (as in smart contracts or game rules),
• a consensus mechanism (for decentralized management), and
• user interaction by means of "letters of intent"
