Restoring Precious Vote Weights

A short while ago the Voting Power hit 100% on our Precious Hive account@ssg-community account. This is a bit of a surprise since it was only 4 weeks ago that we were Adjusting Vote Weights for PRECIOUS because her Voting Power had dropped below 70% There was a common view (that I shared) at the time that maybe we didn’t cut the Vote Weights by enough. Sure enough the softer approach was the right one because here we are maxing out at 100% again. But what’s gone wrong?

I know that I have been posting a bit less myself over the last couple of weeks because life has been getting busy and I have a bit of HIVE fatigue, but I’m just 1 person. Have other people wound back their post rates dramatically? I probably need to have a look in some more detail, but for today I am going to restore the Vote Weights back to where they were 4 weeks ago until I have time to take a deeper look. I did have a brief look at the last 4 weeks up until yesterday, which you can see on the chart below :-

I’m not seeing anything obvious there except maybe a bit of a general decline through the week from Monday to Thursday and yesterday in particular was a bit of a shocker so maybe this is just an anomaly. Anyways, I hate to see Precious idling at 100% because it means we are losing some value so the initial knee-jerk reaction is to restore the Vote Weights and take a closer look when I have a chance.
