RE: Facing the Reality: The Erosion of Consequences and Safety in U.S. Schools
I used to do stupid things all the time, but I never really gave the teacher a hard time. The kid who did that to me was 12. It wouldn’t have happened if I had been paying attention. The kid in Texas who

Ooohh. Or they might use us in their alien rituals, making us go through harmful body modifications or experiments.

I find it statistically likely that, given the vastness of our universe, there must be some form of intelligent life out there. Have I ever seen a UFO? Zero experiences... absolutely nothing. I kind of

I can only imagine how much time it takes you to respond to all the comments. You do a great job of getting through them. Honestly, I barely have time to manage mine, and I get only a tiny fraction of

RE: The clickbait headlines in news aggregates are incredibly deceptive and dumb
Unfortunately, news often isn't really news anymore. Most of the time, it's just sensationalized headlines designed to grab clicks and generate profit. It seems like the headline rarely even matches the

RE: Are you on HIVE to Invest or to Milk the Cash Cow?
Reaching 10K without any financial investment is incredible, especially with the dedication and time @grindle has put in. Kudos to you! I can't wait to see where things are in 5 years. Everyone has the

Too be honest I had no idea that there were Hive related discords (pretty ignorant of me lol) I guess I need to check them out!

I agree. I didn’t mean to suggest that being less fortunate should be an excuse for taking everything out. I believe they could and should contribute some amount to support the blockchain. Basically to

Luckily, I haven't had to move around since my college days when it was a yearly routine. My wife and I have settled down just five minutes from her family, and mine is only about an hour away. We both

I get why some people might feel the need to power down and cash out their Hive. I know that some folks come from less fortunate backgrounds than others. But it’s really discouraging to see people take

Great pictures, and happy early birthday! I've never been able to take a good self-portrait, or a decent selfie, for that matter!

RE: Guilty Pleasures
I used to have a serious sweet tooth. Five years ago, that cake would have looked incredible to me, but now it just seems too sweet. I definitely still indulge in a good beer now and then, or a milk tea

Nice plum haul! Even though I'm not a big fan of plums, it's great that you're getting extra rain and don't have to stress as much about irrigation. I constantly have to worry about it since we don't really

RE: Exploring Culture and Calm: A Spontaneous Visit to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple
I spent a lot of time in Buddhist temples growing up, and I always found them pretty calming. Many of them are beautiful inside. I'm glad you made an unscheduled stop at this one!

Ugh, dirty water again. I'm actually surprised more of it hasn't been wrecked, with all the blue rockets and foul language flying around.

RE: Is it worth teaching our kids how to Code...?
I completely agree. In many places, the school systems are broken and don't prioritize the best interests of students. I'm sure your English, even with an accent, is much better than my second language!

RE: Discovering the Magic of the Chicago Children's Museum with Our Kids
Too be honest, I'm not really sure. We didn't make it out there much since most of our time was at museums or activities for our kiddos or in the swimming pool where we were staying.

RE: What are your expectations of Hive witnesses?
1, 2, 3, maybe 5, and 7. These would be my choices. There are other factors I’d consider too, but I’m still learning how witnesses work since I’ve had my head buried in the sand for the past month.
