Wow! I guess I spent too much time looking at tourist pictures to have any idea about the reality of it. :) So I take it they have had a massive contruction boom over the last few decades?

It really is not that old - the house itself is probably no more than 100 year sold (yesterday by Istambul standards, I know😀). It just has not been maintained and updated much.

I am not sure if it would be better or worse, just different - the rocks would be smoother. 😄
