World Environment Day - today was actually decent
So today was World Environment Day and I actually showed up for once 馃槀 Didn鈥檛 snap any pics because my phone was acting up all morning, but I鈥檒l explain properly in tomorrow鈥檚 post when I have them. Honestly didn鈥檛 expect much, thought it鈥檇 be one of those boring school-type lectures. But it turned out to be proper interactive. We spent most of the time outside, talking about our environment, the little things we do that mess it up, and what we can actually fix around us.
The conversations were the best part. It wasn鈥檛 just people giving speeches. Everyone was sharing real stuff - like how plastic waste blocks drains when it rains in our area, and how cutting trees for firewood is getting out of hand. Some guys from the neighborhood even brought samples of polluted water from the stream near us. Seeing it like that hits different. Made me realize we complain about flooding every rainy season but we鈥檙e the ones dumping trash in the gutters.
By the time it ended I was tired but in a good way. My head was full of ideas I never thought about before. Didn鈥檛 plant a tree or clean a whole street today, but at least I left knowing more than I came with. Tomorrow I鈥檒l post the full breakdown with pics once I sort them. For now, just know it was one of those rare days that felt useful.
