In a village, a farmer kept a cow. The cow was very calm and gave milk regularly. The farmer noticed that the cow only ate and gave milk without doing any work. Then he thought, “If the cow can be useful without working, then I can also spend my life sitting still.” Thinking this, he gradually reduced his work. He stopped going to the field and started spending his time lazily.
After a few days, the farmer’s condition started to deteriorate. The crop did not grow in the field, income decreased and there was poverty in the family. Then he realized that human life is not like that of a cow. To be successful, a person has to work hard. Laziness holds people back and hard work is the key to progress. Then the farmer started working hard again. Gradually, his condition improved. From this story, we can learn that there is no alternative to hard work to be successful in life.
