A crow was eating food on the ground. Suddenly a cat saw him. The crow flew away in fear and quickly sat on a tree branch. The cat stood down and said sweetly, “Don’t be afraid, I want to be your friend.” The crow understood that this was his trap. After thinking a little, he cleverly said, “It’s good to be a friend, but there’s a dog standing behind you!” The cat immediately looked back in fear. At that opportunity, the crow flew away. The cat understood that he had been fooled. This story shows that if you are smart in times of danger, you can easily be saved.
