im not 100% certain... but i think it is agave attenuata? It grows rampant here in Brisbane/Ipswich Australia. The stems can be very pretty. we have one that is growing on a straight stem in the front

They grow like weeds here in queensland Australia, all i do is beg people to come and take them from my garden. We get rid of many a year lol Very pretty but can take over. nice post, :-) Sarah

Oh wow...yeah that is so cool ... chris and i stayed up till like 1am one night watching a documentary on soil mycelium. so fascinating. As you say why deep tilling the soil and spray is just so bad.
