Here are some "quick n' dirty-shots" from Trifels Castle.

It's 20 kilometres away from my hometown. I visited the castle last tuesday and was surprised because of the eventful history of this building.

Do you know, that King Lionheart was imprisoned there?

Trifels Castle (German: Reichsburg Trifels) is a reconstructed medieval castle at an elevation of 500 m (1,600 ft) near the small town of Annweiler, in the Palatinate region of southwestern Germany. It is located high above theQueich valley within the Palatinate Forest on one peak of a red sandstone mountain split into three.

A really impressive building

The view from the top is breathtaking

My little girl really wanted to be in the picture. Please note her 'horror movie'-facial expression :-)

I hope you enjoyed my photos <3

take care,
