Hello Steemmates! Not feeling the Steem power yet like old Wade Wilson here? Well I wanted to share my thoughts to some new Steemoners that may help you with your incentives..... COMMENTING! Commenting will help drive your Steem and Steem dollars. I notice mostly all new Steemians just like to vote on the first thing in trending and keep it moving, but this is going against Steemit payout distribution goals which are To Produce The Best Discussions on The Internet. So to Reward you for this Steemits payout distribution allows you to take advantage of just that.
"Good discussion requires back and forth posting. When you reply to someone else, they get 50% of any payout you receive in that thread. This rule applies up to 6 levels deep. Starting a big discussion greatly rewards the parent poster.
Failure to properly nest your posts in the discussion is a good way to get down voted.
This incentive structure motivates people to contribute in a way that motivates others to get involved. It encourages people to ask good questions so that others can provide valuable answers.
Payouts
When a post receives a payout it takes the form of 50% SMD and 50% SP. The Steem Power give the user increased voting and transaction power while the SMD gives the user an immediate benefit in a stable currency. As we’ve already discussed at length, both SP and SMD are designed to encourage long-term holding rather than short-term selling."

This will help a lot of you new Steem users as you try to get going, this is a great alternative to just voting which since the number of times you can vote is limited you can still get rewards by contributing in discussions.

I can attest to the majority of my incentives have come from blogging rewards which I have been able to make a few dollars from just having a good old fashion discussion with people! Which I then converted to Steem power. So get out of the robotic mind set and interact with your Steemmates and drive your wallet and Steemit in the process.
Oh btw im tired of using the same steemit terms can someone contribute more names please? Thanks https://steemit.com/steem/@bjones/how-many-terms-or-demonyms-can-you-come-up-with-involving-steem
