Unsplash Oh why oh why did we do this to ourselves???? As part of our ensemble's vision (well, my wife and I...) to bring together people to just enjoy playing music... and a taste on our take on Early

Okay... I really want to get this recording done and wrapped up! We did the actual thing at the end of last year, and the edit/mix last month. And we have been sitting on two versions of the final mix

Ahhhhh... the shame! We have been planning to build a garden storage shed in this back corner for about two years now. And we even bought the shed itself in a sale about a year and a half ago... and it

I have been on the look out for another general purpose Baroque violin bow for a while now... I have a really nice one that I got about 25 years ago... and at that time, it was supposed to be in a risky

Okay, I'm not old old... I'm more of an early middle aged person. But I think I have to get it in my head that I'm no longer a young adult... even if I feel like it in my brain. Not looking in the mirror

Hmmmmm... we have a nice new harpsichord, a single manual Flemish model with two 8 foot and a single 4 foot choirs of strings. And apparently, our living room can't stay in this formation... we are going

Our concert weekends can be a bit hectic... on the music side of things, we do run a pretty fast and tight schedule. On the Saturday, we have two calls of rehearsals (2 times 3 hours)... one in the morning

Sigh... a combination of overloaded work schedule, a sore leg, and lots of rain from storms... mixed in with a healthy dose of strong days of hot sun... well... the backyard project has gotten out of hand!

One of the nicest things about being a husband-wife ensemble core... and without a "business"-minded board... is the ability to just do whatever we want without needing to run it past non-musicians

Trawling Kickstarter is always going to be a bit of dangerous experience for me... games, comics... and of course, the hardware section! Games have tended to be a bit of a hit and miss affair... too much

This pile of mulch is now over a year old... it came from a huge tree that dropped a couple of large branches in a storm that damaged our neighbour's play equipment and squashed their Hills hoist clothes

Hmmmm... it appears that I'm the default organiser for a concert that I was asked to lead the ensemble for... It is a harpsichord concert that will feature concerti for 4 and 2 harpsichords by JS Bach,

Ahhhhh... I have two batches of music coming in from Europe. Normally, I'm able to source a good chunk of our music for our ensemble via facsimiles and old prints from the Baroque and Classical eras...

Well... we are now in the lull period... a week or so of calm, before the flurry of concerts for our ensemble starts for the year... and from there, it is pretty-full on for the both of us with our own
