Greetings creative community, I hope you are enjoying good health and have an excellent weekend with your loved ones, today I share a creative project inspired by Cave Slug, it is a pot holder made with raw cotton, a fabric that I have used on two occasions and is excellent for projects related to the kitchen due to its texture, thickness and ease of sewing; The potholder is decorated with the mushroom that appears on the aforementioned Splinterlands card.
Saludos comunidad creativa, deseo se encuentren disfrutando de buena salud y tengan un excelente fin de semana en unión de sus seres queridos, hoy comparto un proyecto creativo inspirado en Cave Slug, se trata de un agarra ollas elaborado con algodón crudo, una tela que he usado en dos ocasiones y es excelente para los proyectos vinculados con la cocina por su textura, grosor y facilidad para coser; el agarra ollas está decorado con el hongo que aparece en la carta de Splinterlands ya mencionada.

I started the project by cutting two rectangles in raw cotton fabric of 18 * 24 centimeters, I also marked the pieces of the mushroom in white and red color and the base in green color, I faced the white and red ones on the right side, I sewed with straight stitch, in the same way I sewed the base of the mushroom to the white piece.

Inicié el proyecto cortando dos rectángulos en tela de algodón crudo de 18 * 24 centímetros, también marque las piezas del hongo en color blanco y rojo y la base en color verde, enfrenté por el derecho las de color blanco y rojo, cosí con puntada recta, de igual forma cosí la base del hongo a la pieza blanca.
The second step was to face the mushroom on the right side with a piece of white fabric, I sewed all around and made a small opening to turn it over, which I closed with a hidden stitch.
El segundo paso fue enfrentar por derecho el hongo con un retazo de tela blanca, cosí por todo el contorno e hice una pequeña abertura para voltear, la cual cerré con puntada escondida.
With pins I pinned the piece to one of the light brown rectangles, which will be the front of the pot holder and sewed with zigzag stitch all around the edges of the mushroom.
Con alfileres fijé la pieza a uno de los rectángulos marrón claro, el cual será la parte delantera del agarra ollas y cosí con puntada de zigzag por todos los bordes del hongo.
Then I placed a green ribbon in the upper front part that will serve as a hanger, in the back part I placed the wadding and on top of the front part facing the right sides I placed the back part of the pot holder, to secure I fastened with pins and sewed with straight stitch leaving an opening in the lower part to turn it over, I also removed the excess fabric.
Luego coloqué una cinta verde en la parte superior delantera que servirá de colgadero, en la parte posterior coloqué la guata y encima del delantero enfrentando los derechos ubiqué la parte trasera del agarra ollas, para asegurar sujeté con alfileres y cosí con puntada recta dejando una abertura en la parte inferior para voltear, retiré además el exceso de tela.
Once the pot holder is turned over, I folded in the flaps of the opening, pinned and sewed with a straight stitch the outline, passing the seam as close as possible to the edge. In the white area of the mushroom I traced and stitched several lines with straight stitch.

To finish, I cut several circles in white fleece and sewed them with a hidden stitch on the top of the mushroom, and in a few steps I finished a nice and useful pot holder inspired by Cave Slug.

This type of project is useful in the kitchen, it protects our hands when handling hot pots, it is also simple to make and can be decorated to your liking.
