There's many things I prefer not to do or don't like and I'm mostly able to avoid them; there's people I don't like for one reason or another also and I most certainly avoid them. I find it easy to ignore or avoid people I don't like or that don't rate or matter to me in the least bit however sometimes I have to do things I don't like and today I have one of those looming over me. Hmm, it's not something I don't currently like, but I used to detest it.

The dentist is one of those activities I never liked but because it is so important I dutifully accept having to go and so I go twice a year, get my check up and any treatment required and move on after lightening my purse a little - They're so costly! I actually have the best dentist ever, a lovely lady who looks after me and has made the experience so easy, and she has transformed my thinking on the whole process pf going to the dentist thankfully.

I'll not say it's a pleasure although seeing her is nice, but since meeting my current dentist several years ago it's so much easier. I'm grateful to her for that because the regular visits mean I'm able to avoid costly issues down the road and that's worth a little discomfort I think. I also think I have nice teeth and want to keep them that way.

Thinking on the way my dentist has looked after me in comparison to how other dentists are based on what people tell me, I count myself as very lucky and I wonder how many people may have compromised their dental health simply because a dentist hasn't explained things or taken enough care which has caused them to not go back as regularly as they should. Come to think of it, I wonder how many have compromised other aspects of their health for the same reasons.
