Now that you have a vision of what you are going to do it is time to put it into action. You may be wondering right now how exactly you are going to do that. Well, that is why in the imaginative story I use the mountain as the analogy to your mind.
Your mind is going to be your biggest obstacle that will keep you from your dreams. Your mind will second-guess itself, your mind will remind you of your fears, doubts, and cause anxiety. You will not see immediate gratification, so your mind will find daily tasks useless during the climbing process towards your vision and make excuses to not continue the climb.
Many people only see the end goal and are blind to the journey that it takes to get there. It is extremely important to push past the insecurities and uncertainty that come with starting a new journey. The video for your first vlog may not be the highest quality, but it’s not an excuse to not do it. Your blog may not be the most informing or interesting, but it is no excuse to not try. You should never quit before even starting on a journey to your vision. Remember you must save the world.
Now that you are mentally prepared for your journey it is time to gather your supplies. These “supplies” are the daily tasks that you will accomplish every day in order to get to the peak of your mountain. You must continue to climb, and you must ensure that you are managing your tasks appropriately.
Just because you are doing a lot of things at the same time doesn’t necessarily mean that you are being efficient, it means you are not utilizing your tasks appropriately. This is the step that takes the most time and requires extreme patience. By analyzing your daily tasks you will be able to gather necessary intelligence to your life. Simply record everything that you do when you wake up until you go to sleep.
Once you have done this, find out how many of those tasks are leading to your overall goal for your life. Let me provide a quick example....if you want to live a healthy lifestyle you may want to go to the gym and eat healthier. It sounds simple, but it requires sacrifice to accomplish those tasks. You will need to sacrifice certain things in your life to make room for the tasks that get you to your vision
This is what separates the wheat from the shaft. The weak from the strong. It all comes down to who can practice perfect time management. Managing time is not an easy assignment, it requires a secret sauce called patience. Patience is the key to understanding how much time it will take you to reach your vision.
You may be ready with all your supplies in place to climb the mountain in order to save humanity but Time will determine if you are disciplined enough and patient enough to continue to climb regardless of what your current situation may look like.
When you are halfway up the mountain and you look up it may look like you are not making any progress, however, if you look down you can see how far you have come. Remember to take your time in achieving your vision, often times it is the journey on the way to our destination that makes us stronger.
