Thanks. These are raw figs. They grow pretty hardily here in the pacific northwest, and make a tasty but unusual fruit. Here's some info I just found about figs, with a good picture.

Indonesia! Awesome, you are familiar with batik then. I've never been there myself, but I hear it's the origin of traditional batik, which is the way I do it. I have seen a few videos of batik factories
