What an interesting film, especially as the director is portraying part of her own life and her brother’s experiences there, even though the genre is a blend of horror, science fiction and romance. It’s a really good combination, by the way. I really like it when horror has that romantic touch. But the film also addresses teenagers’ need for acceptance, which is a very topical issue, although not in quite the same way as the film portrays it, so it conveys a powerful message about today’s society.

I’m not really keen on overly commercial films either; they don’t convey any message, whereas European cinema is much better. Thank you very much for the recommendation, JC; I’ll look for it, I’m interested. Big hugs!🤗

Que interesante película, sobre todo porque la cineasta está reflejando parte de su vida y vivencias de su hermano allí, a pesar de que el género sea terror con ciencia ficción y romance. Es una combinación muy buena por cierto. Me gusta mucho cuando el terror tiene ese tinte romántico. Pero además la película habla de la necesidad de aceptación que tienen los adolescentes y es un tema muy actual, aunque no sea de la misma manera que la película, por lo que la película deja un gran mensaje de la actual sociedad.

Tampoco me están gustando mucho las películas tan comerciales no dejan ningún mensaje, para el cine europeo es mucho mejor. Muchas gracias por la recomendación JC, la buscaré, me interesa. Un gran abrazo!🤗
