That first S&P 500 market capitalization requirement is bananas, why doesn't the sentence end after '$14.5 billion'?

It might be a couple of quarters before they fulfill that last requirement though:

I guess one thing I don't know about the S&P 500 is are there more than 500 companies that fit all those requirements, and they choose the best ones? Would MSTR have to beat out some other companies in profit even once they meet the requirements? Definitely curious to how that all works. Usually companies do see an uptick once they're added to the S&P500 as retirement funds pick them up, but for some reason that uptick tends to even out over time.
