Back in june 2018 my wife fell on some sweets in Morrisons supermarket, the staff there at the time were walking through them and had no intention of cleaning them up.
The way my misses fell meant she hurt her ankle, she was limping around for weeks until the doctor signed her off on the sick as she couldn't continue to do her job.
The doctor did what he could, painkillers and referred her to physiotherapy and things got worse, The exercises that they gave her to do was impossible as she couldn't support her wait on the foot.
The physio said that all the cases that he had worked on the exercises that he gave should have been easy for her and with her struggling she was sent to the hospital for an MRI scan.
Today, we had to go to get the results, we waited for what seemed like a life time as the consultant was running late and when her took us into a room to talk her confirmed that she needs surgery on her foot.
The damage from the fall had ripped her ligaments and they require either knitting back together or artificial ones instead.
The pain she has been in has been unreal, she is always in pain and puts on a brave face, she really doesn't want to have the op and she would have never needed to have one if she had never fell in Morrisons.
She is scared of the op, and I had to ask the consultant if there was another way they could do the surgery because of her fear of been put to sleep.
The consultant has agreed to do a epigurnal to numb the bottom of her body so they can do the work they need to do.
If it wasn't because of the fall she would still be employed and we wouldn't be in a place where we have no money.
It has been a hard journey to this point, but if she doesn't have the op then she could lose the ability to walk on that foot completely.
We now have to wait up to 18 weeks for the date of the op as there is a que of people waiting for their ops too.
It needs to be done as she is walking on a very painful injury and I hate to see her in pain like this.
The have told her after the op it will be 6 weeks in a pot to let her heal easier, she has to have antibiotics to cover her from infection.
It is a long road and I am stressed over all this and I just hope that it happens sooner than later.
