I shot this a few weeks ago while passing through Montana. As someone from the East, I was amazed by the vastness of the plains, whose barrenness exposes these massive hills.

My friend Brendan and I went out and explored this incredible landscape at Israel's Dead Sea. The water is so salty that salt cakes onto anything around, and builds up crystals.
