Participation can also be private rather than public. I message lots of people directly, as I prefer 1:1 conversations. Just because I don't shout the loudest or the most in public doesn't mean I'm not

Yep! There are very few witness that own their own hardware (witness, seed, or RPC node, if they even have one) rather than rent it from a 3rd party. It's not a big talking point, but it has some interesting

I'm more of a reader than a writer in most things. I do read everything in that slack, though I only usually write something if it's important. There's a lot of noise and not-useful arguing in that slack.

So, I'm not really a fan of "omnibus bills" because it becomes hard to isolate which part of the changes were responsible for which outcomes. Isolated variables and all that. Yet I do understand

You need to divide the 1% inflation between 70-90 BP's getting paid. The inflation is the sum of all rewards, by definition. I refer to this as "rewards" in the formula. Since accounts are

I wasn't even talking about it until you brought it up. The ratio of upvotes to downvotes means that, either per-user or in aggregate of the whole system, how often is an upvote used relative to a downvote.

"Literally nobody" -- not true, there are many users that argue for an "upvote only" system. There are also many users who believe that the ratio between upvotes and downvotes should

Yes. Increasing downvotes is healthy and important for the ecosystem, so much so that I am still a strong proponent of a separate downvote power pool. I agree with the other comments that downvotes should

The @ mention summons me. ;) & Thanks, appreciate it! Every bit does count. Similar background to me -- now I definitely need to follow!

This is because you are comparing a full node (anyx.io) to a hivemind node (steemit). Fortunately, I also run a hivemind node :) If you run your query against you get the same results as you would with

Do you know which API calls are giving different results?

Cheetah might pop up if you copy and paste a lot of text, that's what she does -- finds copy and paste. She doesn't flag though, just comments. Steemcleaners would only come after you if you're performing

"Private blockchains" are a miss-use of technology. Just because you can do something doesn't mean it makes any sense! I can run sequential code on a GPU, but that would be pretty silly.. It

'Total' is volume. Throughput is volume per unit of time.

Indeed, the sparsity of "how to use it" is one of the reasons many developers were left out when steemit quickly jumped over. Basically, it has taken many of the API calls, such as those from

Yep, definitely. It's not actually that complex, but it was basically designed directly for my stack... so I'll clean it up a little first then throw it on GitHub sometime soon.

Great! Do you actually use hivemind calls though? If not just use anyx.io :)

Ok, done. It's more specific now as well, if you submit only one request in the array it will take it fine and respond correctly, but if you try to do too many in the array it will HTTP Error 413 (Request

Are you sending an array of requests rather than a single one? If so, right now my node doesn't support that. (Specifically, I've replaced jussi with a custom router, and I haven't added batching) I can

Thanks, appreciate it! Recommending witnesses isn't something I'd normally do, so my recommendation is to try and find "technical" ones. The chain is more secure in my mind when experts in tech
