vorgestern habe ich im Rahmen der #freiheitswoche beschrieben, wie ich dazu gekommen bin als freischaffender Musiker, Produzent und Komponist mein Glück zu versuchen. Entscheidend beeinflußt wurde ich dabei natürlich auch durch die musikalische Revolution der "Techno Generation" und dem untrennbar damit verbundenen Lebensgefühl der 90er Jahre des letzten Jahrhunderts.
Nach dem Fall des eisernen Vorhangs und der Mauer, herrschte in meiner Generation, und v.a. natürlich auch in Deutschland, eine sehr optimistische und fröhliche Stimmung vor. Alle Probleme schienen sich in Luft aufgelöst zu haben. Im Nachhinein stellte sich diese Sicht der Dinge leider als naiv heraus. Allerdings war ich damals ein "Twen", und mir fehlte es natürlich auch einfach an Lebenserfahrung.
🎶 Musikalische Freiheit 🎶
Rein musikalisch gesehen war die Techno Musik wirklich revolutionär - auch wenn es für viele Zeitgenossen bis heute nur stupides Bum Bum Bum sein mag. 😏 (Diese Leute liegen definitiv daneben! 😏 )
Musiker konnten ihrer Kreativität freien Lauf lassen, und es gab wirklich ganz viele total neue, und bis dato nie gehörte Sounds und Stilrichtungen, die später zu einzelnen Subgenres des Techno wurden, zu entdecken, bzw. zu erfinden. Ein etwas älterer Kollege von mir verglich die musikalischen Freiheiten im Techno mit denen des Punkrock - nur daß es im Techno eben mit elektronischen Instrumenten umgesetzt wurde. Im Techno hatte man freie Instrumentenwahl und vor allem waren die üblichen Songstrukturen (Strophe, Refrain, Bridge etc.) obsolet geworden - konnten aber natürlich auch beibehalten werden. Musikalische Freiheit eben!
🎶 Pure Lebensfreude 🎶
Auf jeden Fall glaube ich emotional folgen zu können, wenn jemand vom Woodstock Festival oder dem "Summer Of Love" zu schwärmen beginnt. Die Techno Welle dauerte allerdings nicht nur einen Sommer, sondern eher ein ganzes Jahrzehnt.
Ich bin jedenfalls sehr dankbar, daß ich von Anfang voll dabei war - erst nur als Partygast und Plattenkäufer, später dann auch als Produzent, Komponist und DJ.
Dieses subjektiv empfundene Gefühl der Freiheit und der puren Freude am Leben kann mir keiner mehr nehmen - und ja, es ist schwer in Worte zu fassen, es war einfach unglaublich.
🎶 Brandneue Remixproduktion - passend zum Thema 🎶
Wie es der Zufall so will, hatte ich vor einigen Wochen die Ehre, die Comeback Single von MASTERBOY, einem der bekanntesten Eurodance Projekte der 90er, remixen zu dürfen. Der Name der neuen Single "Are You Ready (We Love The 90ies)" passt bestens zu meinem Beitrag.
Den Progressive - Electro - Trance Remix von DJ Klubbingman - der auch Teil von Masterboy ist, und mit dem ich schon seit über 10 Jahren zusammen produziere - und mir möchte ich Euch heute auf Steemit vorstellen. Die Single ist erst dieses Wochenende veröffentlicht worden und ist also noch brandneu.
Auch wenn Masterboy eher ein Euro-Dance Projekt, denn ein Technoprojekt war und ist, so haben sie mit ihren Chart Hits (mehrmal Top 10 in den Single Sale Charts vieler Länder) auch die Neunziger entscheidend mitgeprägt. Wohl aber vor allem für die Generation Viva, also für alle, die noch ein paar Jahre jünger sind als ich.
Ich hoffe, der Track (und unser Mix) gefällt Euch - ich wünsche viel Spaß beim zuhören!

Yesterday ( during the #freiheitswoche (tag: week of freedom)) I described how I came to try my luck as a freelance musician, producer and composer. Of course, I was also decisively influenced by the musical revolution of the "techno generation" and the inseparably associated attitude to life of the 90s of the last century.
After the fall of the Iron Curtain and the Wall, there was a very optimistic and cheerful mood in my generation, and especially in Germany, of course. All the problems seemed to have vanished into thin air. In retrospect, this view unfortunately turned out to be naive.
But back then I was a twen, and of course I simply lacked life experience.
🎶 Musical Freedom 🎶
From a purely musical point of view, techno music was really revolutionary - even if for many contemporaries it may still be just a stupid bum, bum, bum, bum. 😏 (These people are definitely wrong! 😏 )
Musicians could let their creativity run free, and there were really many completely new, and until then never belonged sounds and styles, which later became individual subgenres of Techno, to discover, respectively invent. A somewhat older colleague of mine compared the musical freedoms in techno with those of punk rock - only that it was implemented in techno with electronic instruments.
In techno you had free choice of instruments and above all the usual song structures (verse, chorus, bridge etc.) had become obsolete - but could of course also be retained. Musical freedom!!!
🎶 Pure Joie De Vivre 🎶
In any case, I think I can follow emotionally when someone starts to rave about the Woodstock Festival or the "Summer Of Love". However, the techno wave did not last just a summer, but rather an entire decade. I am very grateful that I was there from the beginning - first only as a party guest and record buyer, later also as a producer, composer and DJ. Nobody can take away this subjectively felt feeling of freedom and pure joy in life - and yes, it's hard to put into words, it was simply incredible.
🎶 A Brandnew Remix Production - relevant to the subject 🎶
As luck would have it, a few weeks ago I had the honour to remix the comeback single of MASTERBOY, one of the most famous Eurodance projects of the 90s.
The name of the new single "Are You Ready (We Love The 90ies)" fits perfectly to my contribution.
Today on Steemit I would like to introduce the Progressive - Electro - Trance Remix by DJ Klubbingman (who is also part of Masterboy and with whom I have been producing together for over 10 years) and myself.
The single was only released this weekend and is brand new.
Even if Masterboy was and is more of a Euro-Dance project than a techno project, with their chart hits (several times Top 10 in the single sale charts of many countries) they have also had a decisive influence on the nineties. But above all for the Viva generation, for all those who are a few years younger than me. Viva was a German music TV station that was the market leader in German-speaking countries in the 90s.
