In the Kosh-Agach district of the Altai Republic there is the Kyzyl-Chin valley.
Once on this place there was a warm sea of the Tethys, and already much later glaciers, as well as a lake with very cold water.
Scientists come here every year on expeditions conducting various scientific studies.
Many of them quite seriously say that Kyzyl-Chin is "Mars on Earth"
Since the soil here is colored in all sorts of variants of red and orange, the blue-green-purple mountains add to the completeness of the picturesqueness of the picture.
