Mohenjo-daro debris is one of the main centers in this ancient society. Some archaeologists argue that Indus Civilization reaches the number of five million inhabitants at its peak. Today, more than a thousand cities and settlements have been discovered, in the Sindhu River valley in Pakistan and northwest India.
