So a friend shared a gist with me about going to a church as a first timer but was early enough to meet Sunday school.

The weird and shocking thing she saw was the Sunday school teacher flogging some teenagers because their notes weren't complete and up to date.

We know churches are meant to preach discipline but at what point should there be limit? Is the story above still about exercising discipline or what's your view about it?
