Actually natural light effect

No more like fast zig-zag - left to right then 45 degrees before eventually speeding out of view.

Well, some hypotheses say that they're astronomical markers or maps. But, whoever etched those marks on the stones are long gone so we don't really know :)

It's basically rock art that's created by using stone, hammer, or chisel of sorts. Most are created during the stone age.

I see it a lot in Washington, in fact I've seen many. Anywhere where there's a slight mist/clouds there's a slight chance for a sun dog :)
