Nothing goes according to the plan, BTC is not over $100k as the gurus were predicting over a year ago, Ethereum hasn't yet transitioned to POS, no country other than El Salvador has made Bitcoin legal tender, but we're fine and we're so damn on track.
I have a close friend who owns some crypto due to my constant poking in this regard and he's actually invested in something he doesn't understand quite well. That's probably the biggest mistake rookies make when they get into crypto.
Buying it for the sake of making money and buying into it with "the certainty" that they will make money is wrong as fuck. 90% of them will do make little to no money in this game.
I can consider myself one of the lucky ones. When I bought my first crypto(LTC) my knowledge in blockchain technology and its impact on the world that I now get to see was almost non existent. I knew it was some sort of digital money, that it wasn't like the banks, but not much education on my side in that regard.
Something in me pushed me towards educating myself more, instead of being a simple hodler and that's how I came to Hive and how I managed to push my crypto experience so far. At this point crypto is part of my life and I'm more than happy about that.
It has never been just rainbows and sunshine. I've actually entered the market near the peak of the bull cycle which dragged me into one of the most painful bear markets of them all. I literally saw my initial investment falling from like $1,300 to $90 in a few weeks.
Selling was not an option and I kept adding to my portfolio, I joined Steem back in 2018 and kept going further. I blogged no matter what and I never panic sold. I can consider myself quite volatility resilient in this regard.
I believe in this tech, it's a life boat for the current society, the way I see it and the valuation that temporarily the market is giving to Bitcoin and the other altcoins that I own is irrelevant for me. It is up only and I have no doubt about that.
We're not shooting straight to the moon here, we're actually on a long term hike that's about to take us on way higher peaks than many of us can even imagine and you know what's funny, some of these peaks aren't even about money as we know it. It's about something that can't even be envisioned clearly.
This kind of reasoning is making me volatility resilient and it's the reason I'm not shaken out of the market at any bump or feeling emotional at all when things go either South or North... What about you, does the crypto market volatility affect you in any way?
Thanks for attention,
Adrian
